Current Occupants

I am part of something so old
And  I am part of a future so cold
Despite  my confusion my grief and my sickness
I will never walk alone
There are millions who know it
And  you’re so scared of how we deal with
What  we’re left with

The damage to their vision is from staring at the flames
What  can you expect without a prospect for anything?
Left trying to build a new animal from dogma’s remains
I understand that I don’t and I’m not ashamed
I’ve got no hope just blind rage

I  am afraid of what I’ve been shown
And I am burning my own way home
I stagger on with ruined eyes
I can taste the dirt it’s not a dream
I’ve tried the comfort of conformity
But I can’t see past the tragic theme
