Tom T. Hall Talks to Audience

Alright thank you thank you thank you very much.
Why, I thank you all very much and we'd like to thank RCA Victor records
And Mr. Jerry Bradley and Mr. Joe Galante for suggesting that we do this
album.

And we're glad you came out for this very special day for the Storytellers
and me nd we're gonna sing you some songs that we've written down
through the years and kinda bring back some memories.

I know a lot of you have been with us all down through these years
while we were pickin' and singin' these songs and writin' 'em
and I got to Nashville about twenty-one years ago
and that was before some of you were even born.

But eh, twenty-one years ago Roger Miller was ridin' a Honda
Mel Tillis couldn't get arrested eh, what else was goin' on
Kris Kristofferson was a bartender, Tanya Tucker was one year old
And eh, Dolly Parton was a thirty-two B
Alright a long time ago.

Well, you folks have been nice to me and the Storytellers and our music
down through the years and here's one of the first songs not the very first
but one of the first songs I recorded and this a good tune about a job I used
to have workin' in a cemetary or graveyard if you will. And I made up this
tune here and get a lot of requests for this travelin' around...
