I love you, you love me
But somehow we're not happy
So it seems if we don't part
We'll stay in love unhappy

But if I leave you and you leave me
We'll start to want each other
And we'll think back to the love we had
And we'll think of it as happy

So it will go on till the day we realize
That love needn't always mean happiness

So think of all the time to come
Other things can make us happy
