Shutter Speed
Just out of sight
Down at the end of the garden
You hide your bike
I find an excuse to be pardoned
No time for shoes
Feeling the damp of the dew
Against my skin
I will ride upon your handlebars
And feel as though the world is ours
Created for this moment in existence
Underneath a thousand eyes
Of ever watchful fireflies
They'll light our path into the distance
And when the town is fast asleep
We'll lay together in the street
Our hearts now beating with persistence
Set the shutter speed slow
Turn me into a ghost
Focus on the stars
Three two one the picture's ours
For ever and ever
And oh I'll go to bed
Ten minutes before my alarm
Eyes heavy as lead
But your name is written on my arm
Surrounded by stars
Tracing the lines of the ink
Upon my skin
I will ride upon your handlebars
And feel as though the world is ours
Created for this moment in existence
Underneath a thousand eyes
Of ever watchful fireflies
They'll light our path into the distance
And when the town is fast asleep
We'll lay together in the street
Our hearts now beating with persistence
Set the shutter speed slow
Turn me into a ghost
Focus on the stars
Three two one the picture's ours
For ever and ever
