Halfway to the bottom of this bottle of wine
I've already forgotten what got me started this time
Not that I need a reason anymore these days
What began as a good time slowly went downhill
To an endless search to find another thrill

Trouble is I tried that, just look at me

I've been searching the Good Book for the words in red
Taking a good hard look at everything you said
Jesus, if you really want to set me free
