Drawing Breath

Take a breath, sit back a bit
For a moment, you're owning it
It's yours to keep and yours to love

Not tired now, you're on fire now

Step outside and take a breath
Fill your lungs and feel how the air is kept
Feel the coolness, close your eyes
Hold your breath, count to five
Let the wave take over you
Can't stop it, not a thing to do
There's the panic and all the fear
And all the worry and all despair
You're still there and still present
You're still running, stay still to end it
Or give it time, give it space
Give it life, give it a face
Your attention to the matter is spot on
Rapid heartbeat like a rock star, rock on
Follow advice and follow what works
Don't follow nothing hollow tolerance might burst
Tomorrow might be better or it might be worse
