Don’t you know the days of old
they turned into the future only yesterday
time flies and rushes by
while all the little people run behind.
The costumer is always pleased
a desperate race to beat the Japanese again
Daddy sits and watches his TV’s
and sents his son to go and get degrees.
A friend of mine he sits at home
and listens to his rattly old gramophone
he says he really doesn’t mind
if everybody thinks he’s left behind.
