Internal (Intro)

Charles Reyes II

Music has a way of bringing me peace and calming me down
It's like a release from what's going on around me
Writing helps me rid myself of all my emotions that I have stored up and helps me to clear my mind
I've had this dark cloud hover over me for a long time
And for a while, it's like it vanished and I've felt the light fall on me
Recently some events have caused that cloud to return and I've been looking for a way to rise back up
I'm grateful for the friends I have, that worry about my well-being, and who I can turn to to help me
When I'm with them, I forget about my problems and they distract me from myself and I'm thankful for that.
I'm also grateful for my sister, who I talk to about what's going on
She's always there to give me the love and support that I sometimes need that others don't give me
Lately I've had a lot of time to reflect on who I am as a person and how others perceive me to be
Nobody's perfect but I know I can be much better than I currently am
I've realized that I have these flaws that stop me from reaching my full potential and that I get in my own way
I've learned that I get too attached and I worry more about the darker possibilities rather than the good
So, I've been working on some things in order to help me handle what I've been going through
This is my way of ridding myself from my negative thoughts and renewing myself
This is more for me to make sense of everything and to cope with my own stupid mistakes
This is my way to fix all of these problems I have that are internal
