Midnight Drive

I want to be in the moment without a care in the world
With the music on blast as everything around me whirls
Past my line of view and I'm the least bit concerned
About how fast I'm going I'm just trying not to swerve
Lights streaking by I'm not focusing clearly
An escape from reality was something I needed dearly
Stop trying to make life harder, I want it done simply
Not sure where I'm going but I don't care if they miss me
Nobody to dictate what I do, I'll make my own decisions

Kuz they won't look thru my view, but want to crush my ambitions

So instead it's time to drift off and leave them all wondering
What they're missing out on while I'm out there discovering
