Aladdin and the Magician

Magicbox

The next morning before the day broke.
Dear sister, if you are not asleep
do tell us about the pleasant tales of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp.
A long time ago in the city of China there
lived a poor women with her only son Aladdin.
This boy had been lazy and preferred to play
with the other kids in the neighborhood.
His mother saw her son would not change
so she sold her husband's tailor shop with all its
contents and began spinning yarn to make a living.
One day while Aladdin was playing in the neighbourhood,
an evil magician came by and began staring at Aladdin.
This is the boy I have been searching forever since I left my native land.
Magician made Aladdin's friends to disappear and get closer to Aladdin.
My son aren't you the son of tailor Mustafa.
Yes sir, but he died a long time ago.
Ah! hoho, I can't believe my ears.
Why are you weeping, oh sir?
Did u know my father?
How can you ask me such a question my son.
Your father was my brother.
I lived in exile for many years.
My son take this money and give it to your mother
with greetings from me.
I'll come home to visit her tomorrow
to see the house where my brother lived in.
Mhmm...
Mother, mother,
I have brought you some very good news about my uncle.
He has returned from exile
and has given me this money to give it to you.
My son you are mocking me.
Who's this uncle of yours?
I know very well that you had an uncle once,
but he's dead and I was not aware that you had another.
There came the knock at the door
and when Aladdin and his mother opened it,
magician stood there and begin to shed tears.
Show me the place where my brother used to sit please.
She pointed to the place and magician stood there...
shedding tears and wailing until he fainted.
Aladdin's mother convinced that he was sincere
and they had a wonderful meal chatting and laughing.
Early the next morning, the magician arrived at Aladdin's house
and knocked at the door.
Aladdin opened the door.
Nephew, today I'm going to show you a sight
that you have never before seen in your life.
Magician and Aladdin started to walk
and reach the outskirts of the city.
Once they reached their destination Aladdin became tired.
My dear nephew, why don't you rest for a while?
Once you are rested my son,
I want you to get up and look for some wood chips
and dry sticks so that we can start a fire,
and then I will show you things beyond your imagination.
After they relaxed Aladdin arose
and began gathering small wood chips and dry sticks.
Soon magician set fire to the wood and
sprinkled the incense on the fire.
Then he uttered some strange words
suddenly the ground split open.
My dear nephew, if you do everything I tell you,
you will become richer than all the
kings in this world for there is a treasure in this cave.
Uncle, tell me what to do, I will obey all your orders.
My son,
this ring will protect you from all harm and threat.
Aladdin, do exactly as I tell you.
I want you to descend the stairs to the vault as carefully as possible.
Once you are at the bottom you will find a space divided into four halls
and each one of these you will see four golden jars
and other valuable articles made of gold and silver.
Go through a garden adorned by fruit trees,
and it leads to a terrace that has a ladder with some 30 steps,
and you will also see a lamp on top of the ladder.
You are to climb the ladder and take the lamp.
After bowing out the contents, place it in your pocket
and on your return you may pluck whatever you want from the trees
for they are yours as long as the lamp is in your hands.
Oh uncle! Please lend me your hand so that I can come out.
First give me the lamp and lighten your load.
It's probably weighing you down.
It's not the lamp that's weighing me down.
Huh, just lend me your hand
and as soon as I reached the ground I'll give it to you.
When magician attentive hopes where lost,
he decided to let the boy die there.
Magician uttered some magic words within seconds
the entrance of the cave closed preventing Aladdin's escape.
Uncle! uncle! What are you doing?
I have not laid a hand on him. So my conscience is clear of murder.
Die well.
Uncle, please help me. Please don't go away.
Scheherazade at this point seeing that it was day stopped telling her story.
Oh dear sister, it is a wonderful story.
I will wait till I hear some more of a beautiful and enchanted stories.
