Mr.Fortune And Mr.Misfortune

Magicbox

In a certain kingdom, in a certain land,
in a village, there lived Mr. Fortune
and Mr. Misfortune.
Mr. Fortune, an enthusiastic hardworking man,
was guarded by, Mistress Good Luck!
And, only good things happened to him every time.
Mr. Misfortune,
a lazy-dull man, was guarded by,
Mistress Bad Luck!
And, only miseries happened to him,
every single time.
One day Fortune was walking on the
streets of the village,
and there came Misfortune.
Hey, Misfortune! Where are heading so hastily?
You don’t bother, you lucky creature.
Just that I am eager!
I’m so done with the miseries that have been happening to me lately.
So, I’m heading to my guardian, Mistress Bad Luck,
to tell her to stop everything.
Well, I don’t see anything bad about it.
What do you mean?
Every time, you face a misery,
you’re becoming stronger, and you can always,
learn a lot of things out of it.
Ah! How easy it is to say.
Only if you know my pain.
Now, get away from my way.
Can you do me a favor, then?
What’s that?
On your way,
I want you to meet my guardian Mistress Good Luck and
tell her to stop giving me any good things anymore,
as I’m satisfied with that I have got.
Seriously? You got to pay me for that.
I’ll give you 200 coppers when you return.
400 and you have a deal.
Alright!
Misfortune walked away, and suddenly,
That guy has all the money.
I should have demanded more.
Hey, hey, wait!!!
He walked back to Fortune.
How about a 450 copper?
Well, what about 200?
200!? That’s is way less than what I asked.
Here, I’ll give you 100 for the task. Or, you shall not do.
Misfortune walked away, angrily.
Hmmm. 100 is better than nothing, anyway.
Hey!!! I’m okay with 100 copper.
How about 50?
Argh! You’re taking advantage of my
need.
The final deal, ten coppers or nothing.
Argh!!! Alright, alright.
Misfortune left and walked pass
through the mountains and heavy winds,
and reached the castle of Mistress Good Luck.
Mistress Good Luck, I got a message,
Mr. Fortune is satisfied already,
and he doesn’t want anything anymore.
Who is he to say that,
he is a hardworking man, and he deserves
luck.
Nobody can tell me what to do.
Now go away.
Said Mistress Good Luck, angrily.
And, Misfortune left for Mistress Bad Luck.
Mistress Bad luck, come out of your cave.
I said, come out now!!!
What do you want?
You stop giving me miseries anymore.
I’m so fed up.
Even now I lost 390 coppers
because of my bad luck.
*Laughs* *Laugh*
Will you stop laughing?
Fool!!!
Said Mistress Bad Luck, angrily.
You lost the coppers,
because of your greediness.
And, all those miseries happened to you
because you were dull and lazy.
I got no role to play in it.
If you blame me anymore for your faults,
I shall curse you. Get lost.
Misfortune left the place,
and he learned a lesson there.
Kids, what have you learned from the story?
So, kids,
Mr. Fortune had luck every time because he was hardworking
and Mr. Misfortune had to face miseries as he was dull and lazy.
So, it is not your guardian,
but your hard work
that brings you luck, every time.
