There was a time
When just living
Had seemed so simple
Then life hit hard
At the blink of an eye
I thought that it couldn't
Get much worse than this
But then the world reverted
To black and white
So, let me go back
To my hometown
Where the wolves are
Yet there's no frowns
Please, let me go back
Back to grandma's house
Now life hits really hard
It's split my back up twice
It's been all we've had to hear
The times grew worse
Way too fast
But we learned to roll the dice
So take me back to
Back to 6th grade
Where we all learned
And we still played
Before the world
Became all dim and gray
There was a time
When just living
Had seemed so simple
Then life hit hard
At the blink of an eye
I thought that it couldn't
Get much worse than this
But then the world reverted
To black and white
