The Passenger

09 The Passenger

Passenger lost can't find his way
Nobody knows which way he's moving in
Stepped on a train he's lost in the wind
Watching his step as the platform closing in

Seems like he's about to run
Eyes down the barrel of a gun
Asking if I can help, he turns to me and smiles
Son this story's just begun

He said I can find my way through all the wasted times
Way back when I lost my mind, I was not alone
Sometimes I try to read between the broken lines
All that's left is there to find, and it hurts me so

We stepped of the train as the next came in
He said, thank you son, you're my next of kin

As we watched the midnight sun
His story grew he carried on
When you're stuck in the middle, fighting for it all
You won't know before it's gone

He said I can find my way through all the wasted times
Way back when I lost my mind, I was not alone
Sometimes I try to read between the broken lines
All that's left is there to find, and it hurts me so

Man, it's killing me, I must be losing my mind
And now he's telling me, how it feels to be losing a child
Tell me you must have known all the time, you were mine

Yeah, I can find my way through all the wasted times
Way back when I lost my mind, I was not alone
Sometimes I try to read between the broken lines
All that's left is there to find, and it hurts me so
