Two Views on Life
She wanted so badly to die
Didn't know the merits of life oh yeah
She thought that life was a cigarette end
Some stamp it out, some let it burn to the end
Why don't we worry when we see these things?
We know we'll never reach entropy
Or in our hearts do we think we're safe?
Do we believe in divinity?
I saw a man at the side of the road
He had a coat that was grey on
He said if all I ever did in life was wrong
They'd burn me when I'm dead'
His approach, it seemed mundane
Although he was so near to death he said
give me a song so they can play me out
I want to be found with a tune in my head'.
We float down the river of life
Get to the bottom but you're swimming against the tide
And where does it lead?
How do you get there and what do you need?
And when you get there, well do you suppose
There will be heaven? Well, who really knows?
Some people they have been pledged
But surely you cannot talk when you're dead?
I believe in divinity, the entropy of life must end
